Our club has had some state firsts! Sherrie Alverson became the State Chair of Judges in 1985 and instituted the judging seminar. We also believe we have a first in a club Secretary/Treasury. Helen Boop has held that position in our club since 1989. Don Lanier holds two firsts. He was the first appointed state auctioneer and first appointed rack chairperson. We also believe we have a first in a person who has held more state offices than any other! Lynda Bordelon has been President, Vice President, Treasurer, Bulletin Editor, and Webmaster. The North Florida Button Club currently holds meetings on the first Saturday of every month at the Port St. Joe Library at 11 AM Eastern time (some of our members live in the central time zone of Florida!).
