North Florida Button Club
The North Florida Button Club continues to be a very active club and supporter of the Florida Button Society’s various Functions. Our club meets the first Saturday of Every Month at 11: AM at the Port St. Joe Public Library. We always have programs, buttons/cards to sell and periodically discuss ways to increase membership. We’ve had articles published in newspapers in hopes to garner some new members, and the Laniers are scheduled to do a program in Valparaiso, FL in the near future. All those interested in collecting clothing buttons are invited to attend any of our meetings. We invite you to join our club whether you belong to another club or not.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE NORTH FLORIDA BUTTON CLUB
The North Florida Button club makes it's home primarily in the beautiful Northwest Florida area commonly known as the Panhandle.
The club was organized on February 11, 1982 and held it's first meeting in Shell Point at the Shell Point Restaurant. Like the 13 Original States, our club had 13 Charter Members. They were Maggie Acker, Sherrie Alverson, Ronnie Gouilding, Joan Gowdy, Debbie and Lynne Reese all of Shell Point, Margie Becton of Panacea, Helen Czuloski of Eastpoint, Shirley Daugherty of Woodville, Virginia Fowler of Altha, Bess Lee and Eddie Nesmith of Apalachicola, Christine McLean of St. George Island. Not much has changed! We still have only one man! But we still have three of the charter members on board! They are Sherrie Alverison, Christine McLean, and Lynne Reese. Our club colors are gold and turquoise and our club logo of a Pelican atop a post with the sun shining on the Gulf in octagonal framework was designed by Bess Lee.
